For those who haven't used it before, an update on how to access the Cricket Leinster: RSA [Live Scores] Match Centre from a mobile phone and the easiest way to upload score updates.
1. If you have not done this before the first thing is to access the internet using your browser and go to the Cricket Leinster website. To get to the Match Centre click the panel on the Home Page to the right of Latest News. You can also go directly to www.cricketleinster.ie/live
2. Once you have logged on successfully you should make this a button on your mobile screen. Depending which phone you use this may be somewhat different but it is a standard feature.
3. Once you enter the Match Centre you will see a list of all the matches for the day. If you want to follow a particular match, or a few matches, you should press the little heart symbol which will bring these matches up to the top of your screen. This also enables you to check if there has been a match postponement.
4. Click on the match you wish to view. You will usually see a short match review and any comments that have been made about the match. These should include the latest score provided there is somebody at the match who is updating the Match Centre.
5. For D1 and some D2 matches there may also be Live Scores and Scorecards. This is available when the match is being electronically scored using Total Cricket Scorer. Just press the relevant panels.
6. Once you have chosen a match - you can update the Match Centre by pressing the Tweet button. This allows anyone watching a match to send in the latest scores. By pressing the Tweet button (1) you will be transferred to Twitter.com so you need to have a current Twitter account. Any tweet you make here will automatically be added to the list of comments made on your chosen match.
7. You can also Tweet directly without going through the Match Centre by including hashtag #cricketleinster. If you know you are going to a match it is a good idea to check out the match ID. Every match has a 4 or 5 digit match code. When this is added – your tweet goes directly to the chosen match. For example you might tweet - Great start here from Tyrellstown. 31- 0 from 10 #cricketleinster #6341. If you press the Live Score button you will see what the match ID is.
There is not much more to it than that so follow the scores from wherever you are and if you are at a match don’t forget to let us know how it is going.
