Ed hails from Pretoria, South Africa and has been living in Dublin for five years, following his marriage to Irish girl Gen. A keen fan of the sport, he is actively involved in the Leinster Cricket Club in Rathmines, being treasurer for the last three years and playing his cricket in the junior leagues.
A trained accountant, Ed has worked in the sporting industry for the past three years. He leaves his position as Financial Manager of Swim Ireland to move into a more operational role and takes up the post of Administrator to the newly-formed Leinster Lightning team.
“It is an honour to be given the role as the Leinster Lightning Team Administrator. I’m very excited about working with Coach Trent Johnston, Manager Mark Jones, the squad and the rest of the back room team. This is a crucial period in Irish cricket with the inter-pro series being the next massive step towards full membership of the ICC. To play any part in achieving that goal is a privilege and I can’t wait to get started. The enthusiasm over the past few months within the Leinster cricket community for the upcoming inter-pros has been great and I know the Leinster Lightning team will not disappoint”.
