Cricket Leinster can today confirm the draws for the Minor and Adamstown Cups for the 2021 season.
These two competitions are again set to be contested by 16 teams, in round-robin groups of four, followed by knockout stages.
The Minor Cup wasn’t contested in 2020, but it accounts mainly for teams from Division 15 and 16. There’s only one of the past 20 winners of the cup in the competition for this season, Wexford Wanderers 2, who will be defending their 2019 crown. They’re drawn in Group D.
Elsewhere in the competition, 2019’s Division 16 winners North Kildare 4 are drawn in Group A. Group B sees Swords 3 face off against Athlone 2, having fallen at the semi-final stage against Athlone 1 in 2020. Group C sees a similar face off, as Clondalkin 2 will line out against Tyrrelstown 4, having lost in the semi-final at the hands of Tyrrelstown 3 in the 2020 season.
