Mount Temple win by 26 runs
Wesley College won the toss and decided to field first against Mount Temple on a blustery day in Park Avenue.
A solid opening partnership of 46 between Barry and Ryan left Mount Temple well set to maintain a positive scoring rate against some decent quality Wesley bowling.
Further runs from Sargent and McNally left Mount Temple with a nice round 150 from their innings, a score that would be a challenge to all teams.
Best of the bowling was A Boucher with two wickets including Sargent well caught by Ruttle. Plunkett and Stewart also performed well with the ball.
Wesley started their chase well with opener Boucher making 26, but partnerships were hard to come by as the Mount Temple bowlers kept the pressure on.
Four wickets from Player of the Match H Moore took out the middle order, but stubborn resistance from S Ruttle with 39 took the match to the final over.
This was an excellent match, well balanced throughout and reflective of two competitive teams.
