Cricket Leinster is pleased to announce the appointment of Mitchell Thompson as CL Development Officer (South Dublin) in succession to Naomi Scott-Hayward who will be transitioning into a new role as CL Disability, Inclusion & Participation Manager.
Mitchell will already be well known to many within the cricket community having played club cricket since childhood at YMCA, King's Hospital and most recently since joining Clontarf. He has represented Leinster and Ireland at various underage categories including Ireland U19s and the Men's Academy team.
Mitchell has been a member of our part-time coaching team in the Fingal area over recent years in a role co-funded with Fingal County Council (focused mainly on Dublin 15). He has also worked as part of our coaching team for various underage squads. On the academic side, Mitchell has recently graduated from TUD with an honours degree in Sports Management & Coaching and he also holds all the requisite cricket coaching certificates.
Mitchell will be taking up this role from 26th August and we are delighted to have him as part of our development team.
This role is co-funded by South Dublin County Council (via Active South Dublin) and we thank the team as SDCC for their ongoing support for the development of cricket across the Local Authority area.
