Cricket Leinster is pleased to announce the launch of the new Match Centre, sponsored by Principal Logistics Technologies on the new website at
https://www.cricketleinster.ie/match-centre/ . Timed to go live just in advance of the first full compliment of Open Competitions matches which start tomorrow over the Easter Weekend.
The new Match Centre is part of a wider Phase 2 launch of the new website which has been in development with our partners, Devhaus over the winter months ahead of the Cricket Leinster Centenary season. It features the ability to get live updates from all matches, whatever the level across the province and track your favourite teams and players live as the games happen.
The Match-Centre has been built with an interactive new 'timeline' feature giving users the ability to scroll through any match-day of the season and track the updates and results from those matches. All verified users who have registered for My Cricket Leinster can easily give status updates once they are logged into their account directly from their smartphone or other device.
If games are live streamed, you'll be able to watch the live stream of the match directly within the new Match Centre and for those on Twitter, you can still provide Match Updates via the unique match ID and the #CricketLeinster hashtag
Working in partnership with our new live scoring provider, CricClubs we will soon be able to feature ball-by-ball live scores of any games being live scored on the CricClubs app. Please note these live scores will not be integrated into the Match Centre for the first weekend of the season but will be available from May onwards.
This will be the first time that many scorers have used the package for a real game. Training and trials have taken place but it is recognised that everyone is on a learning curve. So we ask for patience from the cricket community as the wrinkles are ironed out. The Live Scores will not be carried directly on the Match Centre for the first weekend but instead a link will be provided to enable matches to be followed live.
The more matches that are live scored through the CricClubs platform, then the more enjoyable and engaging the match centre will be throughout the season. So for any of the clubs thinking about live-scoring some of their games for the first time this year, please reach out to us via admin@cricketleinster.ie
This year we are going to make a special effort to ensure that the results of all matches are notified to the Match Centre on the day of the match. Anyone can submit a result but to avoid confusion around who should do it, it is proposed that the responsibility should lie in the first instance with the home team to submit the result.
