Over the past few weeks a backlog has built up in the processing of results submitted to Cricket Leinster through the SportStatz website [or by means of a Total Cricket Scorer matchfile]. Notwithstanding the delay clubs should continue to send in the match details in the normal manner.
Given that it may be some time before we have the official tables / player averages back in sync an alternative method for at least ensuring that league tables are maintained is being put in place. For the next few weeks informal tables will be put up on the website as news items.
For this to work clubs need to ensure that one of two things happen. Firstly, the result can be sent to the Match Centre on the day of the match. A tweet of the result in the form '‘Team’ wins by five wickets / 5 runs’ is all that is needed. Secondly, for results that don’t go in on the day or which are missing from the results table on the Cricket Leinster website, an email should be sent from the home club giving the Division / Date and Result [as above] from the match. If it is a T20 refix that should also be made clear. The e/mail should be sent to cricketleinster@gmail.com
Providing that clubs can make sure that the short result [as above] is sent in for all matches then it will be possible to keep the league tables pretty much up to date.
In the case of cup matches it is even more important that a short result is submitted on the day so that arrangements can be made for the next round of the competition and remember that to notify if a match that have fallen foul of the weather.
Hopefully normal service will be resumed shortly but in the meantime please make sure that the official match details on TCS / SportStatz are submitted in the normal manner and that the result details are sent in as set out above.
