OCC announces rule changes for 2015
Regulation Changes 2015
- The registration process now includes a facility for putting up a photograph of the player. This is to guard against personation which has been alleged in the past. Putting up the photo is voluntary for 2015 but will be compulsory in future years. If no photo is put up during registration, a player may be asked for such evidence at a game and failure to deal satisfactorily with such a request could result in sanction.
- Start Times for Divisions 5-16 will now be 1.00 pm for early and main season.
- New divisions 15 and 16 will be 40 overs a side.
- Div 1-4 refixes in the case of no result in original fixture – length of time for refix will now be 28 days. Agreement on date to be reached by Friday week after date of original fixture. If no agreement reached, match will be on the evening of last Friday of 28 days. Only exception to this last point will be matches involving Cork County .
- Divisions 5 – 16 – any delivery (i.e. speed irrelevant) above waist height to be no ball.
- One day wides will now apply in League Divisions 5 and 6 and in the Middle Cup.
These are the significant changes in regulations. There are some other cases where wordings have been amended for clarification but there is no real change in the actual regulation.
