There are eight teams in D14. As of the 1st June [with one match still to report] there have been 17 matches completed and 5 lost to the weather. Leinster VII are currently leading with 2/2 but there is an outstanding result not recorded. Interestingly five teams have played five or more matches while two have only played 3.
Given the range in matches played the league table does not tell us much. Sandyford III have lost 5/5 played so are clearly struggling but neither Mullingar III or Wicklow II have won a match either. Bagenalstown II have got 4/5 wins and are second in the table with players leading both batting and bowling averages. But early days.
There have been 117 players who have managed to make it out at least once in this league. In terms of the batting, there have been 8 fifties but no century. The highest score so far is 85 from Pardeep Singh [Castleknock]. With the qualification at 100 runs there are only two in the averages,
Darren Purcell [Bagenalstown]. 111 runs at of 55.50
Mubeen Ahmad [Adamstown] 109 runs at 36.33
The best bowling performance is from Ray Stapleton [Bagenalstown] with 5/7. He is also one of two players with 8 or more wickets.
R Stapleton [Bagenalstown]. 10 wickets at 3.00
M Baker [Bagenalstown] 8 wickets at 8.00
