Covid-19 has adversely affected sport and funding has been equally impacted. The landscape has changed, and fundraising is no different. In April 2020, Cricket Leinster ran a Fundraising Webinar “Fundraising in a Covid-19 World” which was delivered by not-for-profit consultancy 2into3.
The challenge now is how do we sustain our clubs into 2021 and beyond?
This online event (which is free-of-charge to all Cricket Leinster clubs) will specifically look at how our clubs communicate with the general public and sell the message about the positive impact of our clubs in the wider community. It is also designed to assist clubs in ensuring that they embark on the 2021 season in a financially robust manner.
Over the last number of years, 2into3 has worked with our clubs providing best practice advice on fundraising. Since 2006, 2into3 has developed fundraising strategies for many of Ireland’s not-for-profits including Enable Ireland, Irish Sailing, Sensational Kids and many more. According to 2into3, previous crises have shown people still donate regardless of the economic impact unfolding.
This workshop will be delivered by Consultant Darren McMahon, who delivered online fundraising advice and seminars with Ireland’s leading charities during the lockdown including Philanthropy Ireland, The Wheel, Enable Ireland, Concern, Sight-savers, Cork Simon and many more.
