To repeat the usual caveats. Nothing is decided until all the scorecards are officially recorded and the OCC have made their pronouncements.
The convention [colour coded] is that Green indicates a contest where the result has been called. Orange is a prediction of likely outcomes. Background yellow simply represents the latest table positions and teams contesting promotion and most in danger of relegation outside of the top and bottom two teams.
The Tables will be updated on a continuous basis until all the panels have turned green. With re-fixes taken place nearly every night as well as a busy schedule of weekend matches the changes are coming fast and furious. But unless teams send in results to the Match Centre on the day we cannot update the tables. At this time of the year with titles, promotion and relegation depending on the outcomes of individual matches, there is a great interest in getting results [official scorecards and unofficial results] up quickly]
Two of the three unbeaten sides in the OC [Civil Service 2 - D10 and Merrion 6 - D11] both recorded wins to confirm their title wins.
Phoenix 2’s full point win over Leinster 2 in D3 gives them important breathing space in the battle to avoid the second relegation place. It is looking more difficult for The Hills 2. Massive round of matches today which should make things clearer. We will follow closely on Match Centre.
Dramatic day in D4 with both pretenders to the title [Laois and Malahide 2] losing. This means that no one can now catch Railway 2 who have completed their programme of matches. The battle for second place is still neck and neck with only one point separating Laois and Malahide. But the wins by Merrion and Clontarf respectively are also important. Merrion move above Civil Service [to 6th place] with a game in hand and Clontarf 3 are now within challenging distance of a promotion spot - all be it with a game more played. Today Civil Service have an opportunity to get back up to 6th place if they can beat bottom team Knockharley.
The big news in D6 is the defeat of leaders Leinster 3 by third place Wexford. This propels Wexford to top of the table [with a game in hand over Leinster]. The third team in the contest is Mullingar. Wexford play again today and if they could make it two from two over the weekend they will have at least one hand on the trophy.
Two games played in D7 yesterday but unfortunately no results or match updates so we don’t know if there are any changes to league positioning.
Big win for DLR County 3 over nearest rivals Adamstown in D10 in relegation head to head. This pushes DLR out of the danger zone with a game in hand. But still enough matches to play so outcomes are far from settled. Big game for bottom team Mullingar today. They need win badly but they have a clear survival route with Adamstown and Lucan also in need of wins.
In D11 the big movers are Rush 3 whose win over second placed Clontarf 5 opens up the promotion race. Merrion 6 have won the division but Rush 3 now have a great chance to take spot - just behind on points but with a game in hand.
Nothing official from D12 but it sounds like a WO win for Lucan 2 which strengthens their hold on the second promotion spot. AIB already strong favourites for title. North County 4 looking more likely for second relegation spot - giving Merrion 7 some relief.
First win of the season for Wicklow 2 in D13 - but too late to avoid relegation.
A late move by Adamstown 5 means that they are now at least in the frame to challenge Finglas for second spot - but it would require a complete loss of form by Finglas who are in a contest with Leinster 6 for the title.
And finally, Ringcommons 2, strong favourites for the D16 title lost to second placed Clondalkin 2. Ringcommons remain favourites but the stress levels have been upped a notch. The result strengthens Clondalkin’s hold on the second promotion spot.
