Phoenix Cricket Club seeks to consolidate their 1st XI as a tier 1 team sustainably for the future, credibly competing for League titles and Senior cups. This is to be supported by strengthening the Senior Coaching team, and by implementing our Youth Policy to sustain an effective ‘Youth Pathway’ to Senior cricket in the Club.
Phoenix currently has a vacancy for a Playing/Head Coach, and for the first time a new position is being created for a Playing/Youth Development Coach.
Head Coach
The Head Coach will report to the Cricket Committee. Primarily the Head Coach will implement the strategy provided by the Committee and work to develop and refine the strategy as the Club evolves.
The Head Coach will be responsible for directing and managing the other Coaching staff e.g. the Youth Development Coach, the Ladies’ Coach and the Senior Men’s Coach(es).
The Head Coach will be responsible for organising training for the Men’s teams, and supporting the Ladies and Youths sections. The Head Coach will co-ordinate the Youth Academy and the Summer School of Excellence.
The ideal candidate will commit to a 3 year term.

Youth Development Coach
The Youth Development Officer will report to the Head Coach. The individual will have responsibility to execute the Club’s youth recruitment & development strategy.
As a Club ‘in the community’, youth coaching will be for all skill levels, girls and boys. In addition the Youth Coach will identify and nurture talented young cricketers, through the School of Excellence, Youth Academy, and other coaching options.
