Whilst the first six weeks of this competition have been focused on photos taken in the past, the emphasis seems to be changing as we move closer to the 2013 season.
The three photos this week were all taken in 2013, and actually show cricketers - in one case cricketers who are playing cricket outside!
Growth in clubs around the country could definitely be the theme this week. Greystones have grown dramatically since their birth in the winter of 2011, and 2013 sees the creation of their women's team. The squad has been training hard over the last few weeks, and Ireland's Isobel Joyce turned up to lend a hand.
Balbriggan are also going from strength to strength, and their elevation to Division 2 has provided a massive boost all across the club. Adrian Harper sent in the photo of the club's Easter Camp. "Here is a photo of some of the players who took part in the Balbriggan Cricket Club Easter Training Camp. Over 30 Boys and Girls attended on week 1. The club will be running another two day camp on the 4th and 5th April from 10am-2pm"
Finally, the first 2013 outdoor shot we've received! Laois are yet another club who are continuing to grow, and will be entering a fourth team in the Open Comps this year. Adrian Tudor adds, "Forget the sunny climes of Malaga and Abu Dhabi this is Laois C.C. pre-season training camp in a paddock in South Tipperary in March 2013".
Hopefully next week, we will have some more action shots, as the 2013 season emerges from under the duvet! Send in those photos to photos@cricketleinster.ie
