Not even a hint of spring in the air. It's another gloomy Tuesday afternoon in Cricket Leinster Towers, and as much as we'd like to be casting out thoughts towards a sunny summer, it's going to have to be another rain themed set of photos.
The three photos this week happen to show rain, the after effects of rain, and then that quintensential cricket-like solution to rain - the DL method.
First up, is a shot ostensibly of Greystones Cricket's continued growth, and their new artificial wicket being put into the ground at Greystones Soccer Club. It's hard though to ignore the approaching rain out at sea.
Our second picture is of that man again - Kevin O'Brien. The occasion was 2012's second round of the Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup between Railway Union and Leinster, and something is missing - a batsman
Rain had had it's say in the first encounter in Rathmines, and Park Avenue was too wet for the second match, so a bowlout was conducted - with Railway coming out as convincing winners.
And finally a photo that on first glance many will struggle to see it's connection with cricket, rain or anything else.
Many thanks to Angus Fleming for sending it in, and although we could have a competition for those trying to guess the subject matter, we may as well tell all now.
The Duckworth Lewis Method's award winning eponymous 2009 album was brilliant - and the follow up is on the way.
The picture shows members of the Theatrical Cavaliers, a Taverners team playing out of Merrion CC, recording vocals for the new album.
We need more photos for next week, so if you are out and about in your cricke club this week, or see anything cricket related, send it in to photos@cricketleinster.ie
Next week, we will be choosing the best photo submitted during March, which will go on to the short list at the first Cricket Leinster Photo of the Year
