Malahide v Balbriggan
Game of the day in Division 2 looks like the match between two of the three unbeaten teams where Malahide and Balbriggan meet in The Village. Both teams have players in form and things look set for a titanic struggle. The Ford Brothers have boosted Malahide's batting to new highs. Their bowling has been good also with Peter Chase always a threat. Balbriggan have hit the ground running fast this season, winning their first three league matches and their Irish Cup First Round match last week. Their batting has been very solid with Conor Fletcher, Farooq Nasr and Overseas Player Coach Tim Marumaexcellent with both bat and ball. This could be a tight game. Games between these two of late have been. It may come down to how the rest of the players contribute in a tight game. Toss of a coin.
Malahide: Fintan McAllister [C/W], James Newland, Peter Chase, Greg Ford, Matt Ford, Keith Reynolds, Arjun Muntha, Cameron Shoebridge, David O Halloran, Paul Abignesh, Andrew Pyne.
Balbriggan: Duane Harper [C], Adam Keefe [W], Adrian Harper, Connor Fletcher, Tim Maruma, Shami Ahmed, Farooq Nasr, Kashif Ali, Emad Omer, Nathan Rooney, Abdul Samad.
Rush v Railway Union
Unbeaten Rush take on yet to win Railway Union. This has a look of a really important weekend for Railway having lost their first two games. They will be looking to get their season up and running on Saturday. They play in the league again on Sunday against Dublin University. Their big players have yet to get going, so a big game from Kevin O'Brien and Kenny Carroll could be in the offing. Rush have started brilliantly this year and are unbeaten in league and cup. Their batting is strong and goes a long way down. Neil Rock and Stephen Doheny the youth at the top, Tipu and Jeremy Bray the experience, and plenty in between. The wickets at Rush being so good and a small boundary, it may be a high scoring encounter with the bowlers suffering. A proper shoot out in the sun hopefully.
Rush: Neil Rock [C/W], Stephen Doheny, Saadat (Tipu) Gull, Jeremy Bray, Conor Mullen, Allan Eastwood, Shahid Iqbal, Subramanya Ramnathpur, Prashanth Viswanath, Aaron McGuire, Alex Neary.
Railway: Ciaran Divney [C/W], Kenny Carroll, Alex Stiles, Kevin O'Brien, Ranil Dhammika, Mo Tariq, Saad Ullah, Abdullah Hafiz, Hashir Sultan, Shariq Khan, Dhram Singh.
Terenure v Cork County
Bottom of the table after three games Terenure welcome Cork who have won 1 from their first three games. This looks like a must win for Terenure who have found thing tough going so far. Cork at home are a far different proposition than they are on the road, so it may be a chance for Terenure to pull a surprise and shock the Munster Men. Could be a tight encounter going down to the wire.
