With adult training returning from tomorrow (10th May) and the publication of all club fixtures for the season (commencing Monday 7th June), there has been a further major surge in player registrations across all categories (Open, Women’s and Youth – all ages).
The first batch of Youth Starter packs have arrived and are being collated for distribution to the clubs over the next week by the Development Officers. The number of registered players has already exceeded expectations such that we have placed an additional order for more starter packs.
There are now 1,422 registered youth players across 35 clubs which is hugely encouraging with numbers in the Under 9s category especially buoyant.
So just to reiterate that key benefits of youth registration include:
- Participation in all CL club youth competitions
- Full Personal Accident Insurance
- CL branded Starter Pack
- €3.00 rebate to the club for all Under 9s registered
- Access to CL Blitz events during the summer

At an overall level, there are now 3,226 players registered across the province which is already well up on last year and reflects a strong, positive intent to get back to playing club cricket this season.
