As communicated to all clubs in February last, the CL Club Accreditation Framework has been fully refreshed and will be used alongside team performance to determine the suitability of any potential team promotions between 2024 & 2025 and beyond.
All clubs should also be mindful that within the Accreditation Framework, CL has minimum grounds & facilities standards and that we will be applying those standards from end 2024 onwards.
This means that for 2025 onwards, all host venues will need to meet (and ideally exceed) the minimum standards to continue to be a host venue in CL competitions from 2025 onwards.
As all clubs will be aware, CL has engaged a third-party supplier with grounds expertise (GM By Choice) to complete ground & facilities assessments on our behalf - this process was initiated during the 2023 season and is now well progressed. All clubs are provided with a copy of their own individual report.
These reports together with other data including umpires reports, peer feedback and our own observations will be used to determine any material issues which may impact hosting and/or promotion in any particular instance.
All clubs are advised to take the time to ensure that their club committee is familiar with the standards required - as always, the CL team is here to support or handle any queries.
