When Cricket Ireland pulled their women's team from Division 8 last month, the league was left with only seven teams, and a shortage of cricket for all involved.
However, Wicklow County have come to the rescue. When the club had to unfortunately drop a team at the beginning of the year, they had wanted to have their 2nd team playing in Division 8. They couldn't be accommodated in this division, and instead they made their fixtures in Division 10.
With this last minute vacancy turning up, Frank Lonergan in Wicklow County and all the other fixture secretaries have managed to reschedule their matches, meaning that Division 8 will now have a full complement of teams. Division 10 will now return to an eight team division.
All cup competitions remain unchanged. All fixtures (Open, Women and Youth) should be on the website in the next fortnight.
