Cricket Leinster welcomes the Government announcement this evening which will see adult training (in pods of up to 15 people) return from Monday 10th May and matches return from Monday 7th June.
Further details and guidance will be provided to clubs over the coming days and there is an open invitation for all clubs to attend Covid-19 safety training on Thursday next, 6th May at 7.00pm via zoom (over 80 people have already registered for this training). As you would expect, we will be liaising with Cricket Ireland (and in turn with Sport Ireland) to ensure that we achieve a safe return to cricket. We are planning on the basis that all the protocols and procedures will be in line with how we all approached Covid safety in 2020 and all clubs should prepare in earnest on that basis.
And finally a further reminder to all players that you must be registered with Cricket Leinster before you can return to club cricket and you can do so by following link:

We will also be engaging with all clubs within the next week as our Competition Committees and CL staff look to finalise all competition structures, formats and fixtures - this work will progress at speed as much of the preparatory work has already been progressed.
