At the outset I would like to emphasise that there are a lot of scorecards that have not been submitted. Some of these go back to the start of the season. The Tables are prepared with the best information we have to hand - but there are gaps. The same applies to averages / individual performances. It is very unfair if a player who has performed well does not appear in the tables simply because a club has not bothered to submit a scorecard. Once this is lost it can never be recovered so if clubs want to have league tables and averages then a much greater effort is needed in getting scorecards into Cricket Leinster.
D11 is headed by Ringcommons, the third team [the others Knockharley in D5 and Balbriggan II in D8] who have yet to lose a match. With a comfortably 30% point lead over the ‘chasing’ pack and only four matches remaining, it just seems a matter of time before they are confirmed as the league winners. There are three teams in with a shout of the second promotion spot. Going into the weekend Clontarf V were second but lost a narrow [1 wicket] game against the The Hills which will have dented their chances. A few % points behind are Merrion VI and some way further back with an outside chance are Clondalkin. At the other end of the table the two teams being lined up for relegation are Pembroke V and Terenure III.
In D12 Phoenix V are in the lead [but have a loss against second placed Cabinteely that is yet to be recorded in the table]. So it is pretty tight between these two sides with Merrion VII [with three wins to be included] the third team in what promises to be a very exciting finish to the season. Taking results known but with scorecards yet to be included - it looks like Malahide V and Leinster VI are in serious trouble.
Another very tight tussle for title and promotion in D13. Swords II, North Kildare III and Ashbourne all fighting hard for the top two spots. Ashbourne won over the weekend to keep pressure on the two teams above them. At the other end it does not look like anything can save Leinster who currently have negative points. Laois III and Bagenalstown II are battling it out to avoid the second relegation place.
With three teams with over 70% points, another good contest taking place in D14 with a lot of mileage remaining. Balbriggan III are in the lead [no results from their game over weekend]. But the two teams below them - Wicklow II and Railway V - have a lot of matches still to play. So still anyone’s title. This is also a seven team league since Pembroke VI withdrew. This puts Adamstown IV in the frame for relegation but Civil Service III and Knockharley III are not safe yet.
D15 is another seven team league. Clontarf are well in the lead but relatively few matches are included in table. As things stand Carlow II and Mullingar III are second and third - but the number of missing scorecards and the some NRs mean that just about anything can happen. Phoenix VI are currently propping up table.
In the bottom league AIB are in the lead but it is actually quite tight with Adamstown V, Bagenalstown III and Merrion VIII in with a chance of promotion.
