Web Together last night won the prestigious 'Most innovative and Cutting Edge Web Developer' award at the Irish Internet Association Net Visionary Awards for 2012 for their work on the Cricket Leinster 'RSA [Live Scores] Match Centre'.
The award was won against strong competition and a short list that included web developments for Irish Rail and CRH. The Net Visionary awards are significant in that they are run by the IIA which is the official industry body for the web sector. The award therefore represents an acknowledgement of excellence for Web Together from their peers within the web sector in Ireland.
Speaking at the awards, Ronan Morris, Sales Director at Web Together commented "We are delighted to win this award for ourselves and for Cricket Leinster. It was a very interesting project to work on and the final outcome is a web application that enhances the enjoyment of cricket for players and fans. We would like to thank Cricket Leinster for their vision in commissioning the work and also RSA Insurance who generously sponsored the project."
Commenting on the award, Pat Nally of RSA said:
'RSA Insurance was very pleased to sponsor the development of what is a class leading web application. From the outset Web Together fully adopted Cricket Leinster's brief, provided strong creative and technical guidance and importantly, delivered ahead of time and on budget.
Congratulations and well done to all on winning a well deserved award.'
