Another weekend of poor weather saw the Leinster RSA Open Competitions D1/D2 again badly disrupted. On Saturday all four RSA Leinster Senior Cup matches were postponed, a further three league matches were called off on Sunday. With both the Irish and Leinster Cups affected, fixture congestion over the next few weeks is inevitable.
What was completed in D1 saw comfortable wins for YMCA over North County and Merrion over Terenure. In D2 Leinster II caused something of an upset in beating Malahide and Phoenix won against league leaders Pembroke. In the final match Dublin University’s win over Rush extended the latter’s poor run of recent form. Cork County unfortunately had another match called off.
