The Spring AGM of the Leinster Cricket Union takes place next Thursday [25th February] at Clontarf CC [19.30]. The Agenda has been circulated to clubs.
Apart from the presentation of the Annual Financial Accounts of the union one other item stands out as having an important bearing on the future development of cricket in Leinster.
During the meeting there will be a presentation and discussion on a proposed change in the status of the LCU from an affiliation of clubs to a Company limited by guarantee. The reasons behind this proposal will be explained at the meeting and soundings taken from the clubs as to their views on the matter.
Subject to the outcome of the discussion and to allow time for clubs to consult with their own members, the intention would be to bring a formal proposal to a General Meeting of the Union before the end of 2016.
Given the importance of this matter it is hoped that all clubs will be represented at the forthcoming meeting.
