SPRINT COATINGS RENEWS & EXTENDS ITS SUPPORT FOR WOMEN’S CRICKET IN LEINSTER

Cricket Leinster is delighted to announce that Sprint Coatings Limited has renewed and expanded its sponsorship of all Women’s cricket across the province.

Sprint Coatings is Ireland’s largest sub-contract company in the field of powder coatings, principally supplying the residential and commercial construction industries. You can visit their website here.

As the bedrock of female cricket in the country, Cricket Leinster has ambitious plans to significantly grow participation in Women’s & Girls cricket over the next 2/3 years and has already seen an increase in both participating clubs and teams over the last couple of years.

Our partnership with Sprint Coatings to-date has already supported some key strategic outcomes including:

• Expansion of our Women’s competition programme to 4 League Divisions with an increase of 25% in the number of competing teams.
• Number of registered female players has grown by 23% in the last two years.
• New Cup competition launched with the emphasis on competitive fun and participation.
• New clubs introduced and/or reintroduced to Women’s cricket
• Enhanced match-day experience for most major Finals which are now live streamed with commentary, match programmes and other event features to enhance fan experience.
• Full reporting on all Division One fixtures including a featured match with photography and social posts each week

Isobel Joyce continues to lead this work in her capacity as Women’s & Girls Development Officer and has introduced a series of new initiatives and programmes, all focused on the growth of female participation. Last week alone, almost 60 girls participated in an CL Under 11s Blitz as part of their introduction to the game.

From a Cricket Leinster perspective, we are delighted to be continuing and extending our partnership with Sprint Coatings into 2023.  We want to express our thanks to Alan & Michelle Maginnis for their brilliant ongoing support and investment in our female cricket programme, it is hugely appreciated. 

As part of this sponsorship, Sprint Coatings will continue to have naming rights to all Cricket Leinster Women’s League and Cup competitions.
