After a comprehensive, if last gasp, victory over the Northern Knights in the IPC the teams are set to meet again in the 50 over format this weekend. The match takes place on Bank Holiday Monday in the idyllic surrounds of The Hills Cricket Club. The match starts at 10.45 a.m.
The Leinster Lightning selectors have the pleasure in announcing the following squad:
George Dockrell, Joe Carroll (both Leinster); Peter Chase (Malahide), John Anderson, Tyrone Kane (both Merrion); Lorcan Tucker & Andrew Balbirnie (both Pembroke); Simi Singh, Jack Tector (both YMCA); Sean Terry (The Hills); Kevin O’Brien (Railway Union, Stephen Doheny (Rush).
Eddie Richardson is unavailable due to the arrival of baby Mila on Wednesday. Mother and baby are doing well and everyone at Leinster Lightning and Cricket Leinster wishes them all every congratulations.
Philip Smith, Cricket Leinster General Manager, wished the squad well for this match saying “This is a strong squad selection and the team will be buoyed by their victory during the week. We are also delighted to advise that the game itself is being 'live-streamed' throughout the day which will provide access to the game for a much wider audience - details on how to access the 'live stream' will be provided on the Cricket Leinster website and social media. We are appreciative of the support of Cairn Homes PLC in making this happen.”
