St Michael’s College Junior school, competing for the first time in this year's Super League competition, secured a 9-run victory in yesterday's final against St Mary’s College, played in good conditions at Kenilworth Square. This year’s Super League was a huge success with eight schools participating and plans are already in place to add several more schools into the competition next year. This competition runs parallel to the Leprechaun Cup, a 'development' competition involving 42 Primary schools. Semi-finals and finals in that competition will take place in the coming days. The Fingal Girls cup took place last week along with the 4th Class cup. These competitions remain the flagship of the Leinster Cricket Union’s development programme.
