Storm Cricket have today been unveiled as title sponsor of all Cricket Leinster Womens’ Competitions for the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
Storm Cricket is a new and exciting Dublin based manufacturer of Cricket Equipment. Commenting on the deal Marketing Director David Drane said “We are delighted to renew our association with Cricket Leinster for another two seasons, this is an exciting time for womens’ cricket in Leinster and we look forward to being at the heart of it.”
Sharon Smyth, Cricket Leinster’s Chairperson of Womens’ Cricket said “We are thrilled that the womens’ cricket has attracted a title sponsor for the first time, it demonstrates that womens cricket in Leinster is in a strong position and we look forward to working closely with Storm Cricket to further develop the popularity of womens’ cricket into the future”.
Under the terms of the sponsorship the Storm Typhoon Cricket Ball will be used as the official match ball in womens’ cup competitions and Storm Cricket will be providing every participant with a €25 voucher to spend via the company’s online store www.stormcricket.ie .
Storm Cricket have recently launched a revolutionary new cricket bat specially designed for the female cricketer, the Storm Blizzard has a 1/2” shorter blade and a super short handle which gives it a blend of the right balance and appropriate weight. Storm Cricket are currently developing a range of Ladies protective equipment which will be launched later in the summer.
