There was success for the Dublin City U13s today, as they ran out 35 run winners in their fixture against Cork County U13s in the University College Cork grounds.
Clontarf’s Ethan Marshall made 50 before retiring, whilst Yousef Shah’s 21 helped Dublin City to make a good total of 133/9 in their 20 overs.
In reply, Cork County could manage only 98/9 as there were economical spells of bowling from another Clontarf player, Harry Irving with 2/3 alongside 2/8 from Phoenix’s Warrick Scully.
Coach Fintan McAllister was delighted with how the game went and quick to praise the hosts;
“A big thanks to our hosts in Cork County for this fixture, it was a fantastic game played in great spirits, and is a great experience for our players in the Dublin City team”
