"The Clock Is Ticking"
5pm, 24th February.
That's how long we all have to make our applications to the Sports Capital Fund. The details can be found here, if this is news to you:

We have discussed applying before at Bagenalstown, but have never followed through. We are on the case this year, and our application is in the works. We have a shortlist of equipment, and we are trying to get quotes together along with various other paperwork.
Clubs can apply for up to €150k of funding (depending on various criteria), but they have to stump up 5% of the amount applied for, and provide evidence that these funds exist. There are many boxes that need to be ticked, and it seems that applications can fail if mistakes are made.
I was hoping that this article might spark a conversation about best practice and pitfalls to avoid. Is everyone making an application? I can't believe we haven't done it before! It's a fantastic opportunity to improve facilities, and save a little time, there is literally nothing to lose.
Is there any advice from any old hands that is worth sharing?
