The Chairman of selectors of Cricket Ireland, Alan Lewis, has admitted England's poaching of Irish players is irritating because it is weakening the strength of the national team.
Speaking on The Slog Sweep, Lewis said it was 'a great frustration' seeing Dubliner Eoin Morgan, now the England ODI captain, wearing the Three Lions instead of representing Ireland at the forthcoming World Cup.
The former Irish all-rounder and captain also revealed Cricket Ireland have been monitoring Boyd Rankin's situation closely with a view to bringing him back into the Irish set-up after representing England at both Test and ODI level.
In a wide-ranging interview, Lewis also gave details about the selection process ahead of the World Cup and the hopes for the tournament. The Episode can be heard on The Slog Sweep website at http://theslogsweep.com/episode-22/
