On Thursday, our Leinster U13 ‘B’ squad played against a mixed team of a Northern Wales, Eryri District, boys and girls team with ages ranging from 10 to 15. It was a tough opposition, with only two girls on the side and a reasonably high standard of players. Our girls put up a good fight and got some excellent wickets as well as keeping their runs down to 129 off the 25 overs. Which was very good considering the small boundary. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, the boys from North Wales had a higher standard of bowling which got the better of our batters. We still batted our full 25 overs and made 79 runs, which considering the opposition, was a good result.
