Andrew Vincent's 61 and four wickets for Josh Little weren't enough for Ireland Under 17's as Scotland edged home by one wicket thanks to half centuries from Angus Guy and Louis Ware.
The U17 sides are playing for the Celtic Cup Series this week in Cork, and after the teams were washed out at The Mardyke on Monday, their scheduled two-day game became a one-innings affair.
Andrew Vincent top scored with 61 as the Irish made 166 - coincidentally his cousin Stuart Poynter made the same score for Durham in the T20 Blast.
Sanil Gupta (26) and Ian Anders (24) were also among the runs as Ireland made 166 - Charles Clarkson taking four wickets, Angus Beattie three, and Tom Bradburn two.
In reply Josh Little's (4-15) opening salvo had the Scots reeling at 16 for 4, but Angus Guy (60) and Louis Ware (50) got their team over the line, winning another thriller between the countries by one wicket.
