With the new season well underway, any players who have still to complete the registration process need to act quickly. Overall the process has gone smoothly with over 1900 players currently registered. There are, however, a small number who have yet to upload a photo [and without a photo a player cannot take part in or be included in starring lists for Open Competitions].
The OCC has also introduced a short waiting period for transferring players between clubs and for those new to Ireland to enable their cricket backgrounds to be checked. So it is important to make sure that any remaining registrations are done in good time before selection for the next weekend.
To get a sense of where clubs stand see the following table. Some clubs will need to take action in getting their players to register / upload photos so that they can fulfil early season fixtures.
Please note the figures don’t include 35 players who are ‘Pending’ due to the application of a waiting period [club transfers or players new to the country] or failure to upload photo. The figures relate to 21st April.
