With a series of interprovincial fixtures and tours taking place for Leinster under-age boys and girls squads in the coming weeks, Cricket Leinster have received a timely boost in the news that Veolia have agreed to become a sponsor for the province’s youth sides.
The Leinster Union hope to continue from its’ most successful season at youth level last year with many hours of preparation of it’s youth squads taking place throughout the winter by its growing coaching staff.
The sponsorship will see new coloured clothing being supplied to the U15 and U17 boy’s squads whose interprovincial games this year will be played using a white ball.
Commenting at the launch of the new sponsorship deal Business Development Director for Veolia Colm Flanagan was quick to recognise the current growth and exposure the game has been receiving of late. ‘Thanks to the recent progress of the National team at the recent World Cup, cricket is fast becoming a sport that young people are taking up. If we can help encourage this ongoing development with Cricket Leinster then we will be delighted and proud to have played our part and of course we look to their continued success’.
Veolia are also club sponsors to leading Dublin GAA club St Vincent’s.
