Website Usage Figures 2015
Popularity of the Cricket Leinster website continues to grow. In the first half of the cricket season [1st April - 30th June] the number of sessions and unique users went up by 5.41% and 7.09% respectively over the same period last year. The proportion of session that originate from users in Ireland has not changed year on year and is 89%. The average time spent on the website [5.37 minutes] and the number of page views [5.46] per session has declined slightly since last year.
One change that has taken place over the years has been a move towards access from mobile devices rather than from a computer. In 2015 the largest segment is from Apple IOS at 38.7%. This is followed by Windows computers [33.65%], Android mobile devices [20.70] and, much further back, Machintosh OS [4.24%]. This compares to 78% [Windows], 9.17% [Macintosh] with the remainder a mix of mobile devices in the first year of operation in 2011. The greater use of mobile devices reflects the numbers accessing the Match Centre.
The Match Centre is also registering new peaks in usage at weekends. Last Sunday’s exciting Irish Senior Cup semi-final between Clontarf and Waringstown helped push the Sunday figure to its highest ever - 1,699 separate users. The highest number of users on a Saturday in 2014 was 1405. This year the average figure is over 1500 and the highest was 1632 on 30th May for the first round of the Leinster Senior Cup.
