Whilst many teams have long finished their 2014 season, there are still many games to be played this weekend. Top of the bill goes to Leinster Lightning, who after confirming the winning of the 2014 Inter Provincial Cup last weekend, return to Dublin for their final match of the season in the return fixture against Northern Knights.
The action takes place in Leinster CC in Rathmines, with the action starting at 10.15. Admission is free and the forecast good, so come along to Observatory Lane and watch the IP Cup Champions finish their season - hopefully on a high.
In the Open Comps, there are plenty of matches this weekend, and this guide will help you work out what is what! As should always be remembered, the OCC decides on the league structure for 2015 in the Autumn, and due to league re-organisation, those listed as promoted or relegated may find themselves in different leagues to what they imagined!
Division 3
Clontarf 2 are already promoted. They travel to YMCA 2 on Sunday, when a win will crown them as Division 3 champions. The title could already be theirs though, as YMCA play North County 2 and The Hills 2 in a double header on Saturday. If YMCA win all three matches, the league will be theirs.
Laois 1 travel to Civil Service 1 on Saturday. If they get five points, North County 2 will be relegated. Should Laois fail to get that, North County have a chance to avoid relegation themselves on Sunday - they would need 21 more points than Laois get on Saturday.
Division 4
Merrion 3 host already relegated Pembroke 3 on Saturday. A win for Merrion will mean they finish in second place. Malahide 2 travel to Wesley College on Sunday to play Dundrum 1. Malahide need 18 more points than Merrion got on Sunday to steal the runners-up spot
Division 5
Merrion 4 host Clontarf 3 on Sunday in a match that Merrion must win. Any win at all will mean Merrion leapfrog over North County 3, relegating the Balrothery side. Clontarf are already down.
Division 6
Last week's fireworks saw Knockharley 1 handle the title to Phoenix 3. Longford's heroic performance in beating Knockharley means they only need one more point when travelling to Rush 2 on Saturday. If they get that point, North Kildare 2 will be relegated
Division 7
With four matches still to be re-fixed (and presumably now not going to be), and a Balbriggan/Dundrum result from August still missing, Division 7 is a mystery. At the top Adamstown 1 are champions, and Laois 2 are runners-up. At the bottom, it is less clear, with Wexford Wanderers 1. Dublin University 2, Balbriggan 2 and Pembroke 4 all in the shake up. Dundrum 2 play Clontarf 4 on Sunday which will have absolutely no affect on the relegation battle.
Division 8
Although the scorecard is still not in, Leinster 4 apparently beat Bagenalstown 1 last week, to seal the title. Bagenalstown play YMCA in two weeks time to see how they can finish. Civil Service can overtake them, should Bagenalstown falter. The Hills 3 and Dundalk 1 are already down, which makes this weekend's matches dead affairs. Dundalk 1 host The Hills 3 on Saturday , and YMCA 4 on Sunday. Leinster 4 host Wicklow County 1 on Sunday.
Division 9
Ringcommons 1 have given Mullingar 2 a walkover tomorrow, due to a big football match being played adjacent to the cricket pitch. It means Ringcommons will join Leinster 5 in Division 10 next year. Greystones 2 need 64 points from their remaining three games to take the Division 9 title. However, one of their matches against Ringcommons looks unlikely to be played (they haven't yet played each other this year), and depending on how the OCC sees that misdemeanour, a court case could decide the Division 9 title. Phoenix 4 will win, should Greystones not - their pursuit continues on Sunday when they travel to Mullingar
Division 10
Railway Union 5 play YMCA 5 on Sunday, needing 23 points to finish in second spot. Merrion 6 will be runners-up if Railway falter. Castleknock 2 host Rush 3 in a dead match on Sunday
Division 11
No matches this weekend. Adamstown 2 play The Hills 4 in a dead match on the 27th. Longford 2 are Champions. Lucan 1 runners up and North County 5 and Leinster 6 go down.
Division 12
Two scorecards are long term absentees (Phoenix/Swords and Pembroke/Merrion). Pembroke/Railway is subject to an OCC decision. Pembroke/Swords has not been refixed. It all makes the situation a little hazy. The top four places are between Adamstown 3, Merrion 7, Halverstown 1 and Swords 2. The bottom for places are between Pembroke 6, Phoenix 5, Railway Union 6 and Bagenalstown 2. Halverstown host Adamstown on Saturday, as do Railway Union and Swords. On Sunday, Halverstown travel to Bagenalstown, and Merrion travel to Adamstown.
Division 13
Rush 4 are already relegated. The other spot of shame is between Dundalk 2 and Sandyford 3. The two of them play on Sunday, although the July 13 match between Sandyford and Rush may have an impact on that. A scorecard has been submitted by Rush, but it has Rush winning - or Sandyford depending on how you look at it. Adamstown played Dundrum last night, and depending on that result, their match against Castlekock on Saturday may be vital at the top
Division 14
The division has actually been finished, although with four results outstanding, you wouldn't know it. Wicklow COunty 2 are champions, with either Mullingar 3 or Leinster 7 as runners up. Phoenix 6, Balbriggan 3 or Civil Service 4 will be bottom.
