During the month of March our development officer for South Dublin County Council, Naomi Scott-Hayward, ran a video challenge competition with primary schools in her area. The children took part in three challenges: overarm throwing, target bowling and striking skills. If you would like to see the videos please check them out on our YouTube Channel. After they completed the three challenges they received a bonus video on catching games that they could do during their Easter holidays.
There were just under 240 kids that took part in the challenges. Today, we are delighted to announce the winning school with the highest average score: Whitechurch National School in Rathfarnham. Congratulations! In second place we had St. Kevin’s Boys NS in Kilnamanagh. And we want to give an honourable mention to Rathfarnham Parish National School as their entire school got involved and completed the challenges.
Massive thank you to all the teachers and students who took part. We will be delivering the prize of a set of bats and balls for the school to Whitechurch NS, with thanks to South Dublin County Council.
