The draws for the RSA Irish Senior Cup for the Bob Kerr Trophy (phew!) and the RSA National Cup were held this afternoon from RSA Headquarters in Dublin.
It's normally as close as Leinster cricket gets to romance and adventure. Oppotunities for overnight trips, foreign lands and unfamiliar grounds. So how did Leinster sides get on in the two draws?
In the Senior Cup, exactly half of the ten Leinster sides got a home draw, with five of the top sides in the NCU and NW making the journey south. Ballymena (probably the weakest of those five northern teams) will play at an international ground in Dublin - whether it is Clontarf or Malahide will not be known until the preliminary round on April 28th.
After a disappointing 2012, North Down will be travelling to Rathmines to take on Leinster - amazingly the sides have only played each other onece, when North Down won in 1984. Instonians travel to the Vineyard to take on the reigning champions The Hills, whilst Limavady will be hosted by newly promoted Pembroke.
Balrothery will already be preparing for the arrival of Brigade, and North County will be desperate to regain the trophy that they have won so many times.
With five teams being at home, five are also travelling. Two go to the NCU, with YMCA going to Wallace Park, Lisburn (home of Northern Ireland's best playground) and Railway Union to Downpatrick.
The three remaining teams are in the North West, with the winners of Rush and Terenure having the toughest task - a trip to the lion's den that is Donemana. Merrion play Coleraine, and Phoenix play Eglinton - both matches that the LCU sides will look forward to.
The 2012 National Cup was a big hit with LCU sides, and there are likely to be plenty of memories taken from it. The 2012 edition will also be eagerly anticiapted by the second tier of LCU clubs.
The pick of the draw has to be the repeat of last year's final as Balbriggan must make the tough journey up to Muckamore. With Muckamore narrowly winning the final, Balbriggan will be looking for revenge. The loser of the Rush/Terenure play off will host Templepatrick, whilst Mullingar also got a home draw, Cooke Collegians travelling to St Finian's College.
Killyclooney of the NW will play in Laois, whilst the 2011 conquerors of Malahide, Newbuildings will be in Phoenix Park to play Civil Service.
The three other sides all get away draws. The losers of Clontarf/Malahide will play against Drummond, North Kildare will travel to Donegal to play St Johnston and National Cup debutants Dundrum will have to buy some coloured clothing and pack the kit for a trip to fortress Woodvale.
