Following on from yesterday's update on the Open Competitions Senior Awards, as we head into the business end of the season in the Women's leagues, it's also an opportunity for us to have a look at who is well placed to secure individual honours across the league this season.
DIVISION ONE
We kick off with Division One, and it will come as no surprise to see newly crowned league Champions Pembroke, and Senior Cup Champions Phoenix featuring strongly across the contenders here.
Crawford Cup - Batting
Gaby Lewis leads the way here, as in 10 matches so far this season she has passed 50 on no fewer than six occasions, including two centuries on that brilliant cup run, with her 634 runs coming at an average in excess of 100. Behind her, both Christina Coulter-Reilly and Sarah Forbes have had brilliant seasons, averaging 61.4 and 56.3 respectively.
Harrison Cup - Bowling
It's the Senior Cup runners-up who occupy the top slot in this list, as Lara McBride of The Hills has taken 19 wickets, with a best bowling of 4-1 helping her to an average of 12.47, which sneaks just below Forbes' 20 wickets at 13.25.
Dawson Cup - Wicket-Keeping
League-winning Pembroke skipper Shauna Kavanagh is top of the tree in the wicket-keeping stakes, with her five catches and three stumpings putting her three dismissals clear of Phoenix's Siúin Woods.
DIVISION TWO
Batting
North Kildare's strong batting unit leads the way here, with Melissa Scott-Hayward just ahead of her opening partner Rosie Neuman-Jones, Merrion's skipper Aoife Brennan following in third, with each passing 250 runs so far.
Bowling
League leaders Rush have flexed their muscles in the bowling department, with opening bowler Aisling McCormack leading the table, whilst leg-spinner Ellie McGee features in third position, that pair are split by Alyssa Pasley of Clontarf, whilst Rosie Neuman-Jones again features here in fourth place.
Hearnden Cup - Wicket-Keeping
Former international Valmai Gee leads the way here for Leinster CC with 9 dismissals, with a three way tie for second place between Sorcha Cunningham, who won both Division 3 and 4 wicket-keeping cups in 2023, Jane Butterly who's won this trophy the last twice, and Clontarf's Hannah Pasley.
DIVISION THREE
Sharp Cup - Batting
Eileen Foley of Rush leads the way in the Sharp Cup stakes currently, with her 180 runs seeing her dismissed just three times to average 60. She's just clear of Malahide's Sorcha O'Carolan-Murphy, who's averaging 55, whilst third placed Justine Blake has scored 249 runs at an average of 35.57, there's another Rush batter in fourth, as Mabel O'Donohoe has also amassed 171 runs this season.
Schmidt Cup - Bowling
Again it's Rush who bookend this table, opening bowler Elyse Jones has taken 11 wickets so far this season as she looks to retain this award that she claimed last season. Her wickets have cost just 4.82 apiece so far. Catherine Foley is the other Kenure bowler to feature, sitting in fourth place with her 11 wickets coming at an average of 11.55. Between that pair, Pembroke's Georgia Beatty sits in second place and is having a fine season, taking 14 wickets at an average of just under 8, whilst third is Justine Blake, who has also taken 14 wickets at an average of just below 11.
Wicket-Keeping
The current Rush domination in Division Three is rounded out by Eileen Foley who also sits atop the keeping standings at the moment, having claimed 9 catches behind the stumps so far this season. Elizabeth Troup of Malahide is next on the list, with 6 catches and a stumping making up her 7 dismissals.
DIVISION FOUR
Batting
No surprise to see names from Phoenix and Terenure on this list, with the pair occupying 1 and 2 in the league and set to face off in the Division Four Cup Final. The batting averages are led by Arisha Foysal, who has shown why she's been an ever present member of Phoenix's 1st XI this season, with the Irish U15 dismissed just once so far in making 156 runs at this level. Terenure's opening batter Isobel Johnston sits second of those to have passed 100 runs, averaging 52, whilst their captain Emily Moran rounds out the top three.
Bowling
With the ball, again it's Phoenix who lead the way through another member of their Senior Cup winning side, Rhea Nair's 12 wickets costing just 4.5 runs apiece so far this season. North Kildare's Meishan Zhang has also taken 12 wickets, at an average of 9.5, whilst Terenure's Alison Dillon currently sits in third place, with her 13 wickets coming at an average of 11.85.
Wicket-Keeping
Terenure's Gillian Lynch leads the way, as the only keeper in the league to have claimed multiple dismissals so far this season.
